The lasting vision of this country is the sad condition which we see.  The things which torment me are not only the collective memory of a wounded community, the destruction of the sense of patrimony, but aso the mental agony, the evilness of the bed and the ‘indifference’ of the good.  Growth will only occur once we break the stupidity of the ethnocentric vision and the cultural sentiment of the indigenous communities of our country is recognized.  What is happening in Tatio is only the effect of a cause which is known by all.

How beautiful and humane to be defending nature, just like the Creater told us to.

I remember the beautiful poetry of Mario Benedetti.  What would happen?

What would happen should one day we wake up and realize who we are?

What would happen if an injustice, just one,  is condemned by all.  And by all, that would be all of us.  Not a few.  Not some, but all?

Géiseres del Tatio deberían ser declarados Monumento Natural y Santuario de la Naturaleza

Así lo acordó el Senado tras aprobar en forma unánime el proyecto de acuerdo presentado por senadores de todos los sectores políticos para proteger esta zona de atractivos naturales.

Un contundente respaldo obtuvo el proyecto de acuerdo presentado por los senadores José Antonio Gómez, Nelson Ávila, Carlos Cantero, Camilo Escalona, Fernando Flores, Guido Girardi, Antonio Horvath, Pablo Longueira, Ricardo Núñez, Carlos Ominami, Jorge Pizarro, Sergio Romero, Guillermo Vásquez y Adolfo Zaldívar para proteger los géiseres de El Tatio.
